Laura Blank

Laura Blank, SPHR, is a Human Resources generalist with 15+ years of experience serving nonprofit and tech startup organizations. Laura is passionate about helping people find joy and creativity and express it through their work. Laura loves to work strategically with leaders to drive organizational change through human resources practices.

Laura has deep expertise in creating HR departments from scratch while coordinating HR policies with organizational culture. In recent roles, Laura was responsible for building and leading HR teams, designing benefits programs, preparing professional development curriculum, and leading employee recruiting and onboarding. She most recently served as the Director of Talent and Operations for a national professional services nonprofit providing consulting services in Racial Equity, PK-12 Education, Economic Mobility, and Community Health.

Laura is also a former Wilderness EMT and primitive survival skills educator, and she once spent a month living in a shelter she built in the woods. She founded Wilderskills, a youth nature connection organization based in California. And she is the mom of three boys!
