Improving Processes, Policies, & the HR Function

SITUATION

The HR leader of an arts and educational institution left the organization. The institution’s senior leadership was concerned that without an HR head, HR functions would need improvement. Thus, the institution was looking for an experienced HR professional to provide some feedback for improvement.

SOLUTION

Exude provided a consultant to serve as the Interim HR Director for this institution. Through this role, we conducted a comprehensive HR Assessment by taking a look at HR processes and policies with a particular focus on how the HR function was supporting the desired organizational culture. We presented this information along with recommendations for improvement to the senior team at this client.

Through the use of our unique and well-designed HR Assessment tools, we gained insights of all members of the senior team with regard to their feedback, goals, and aspirations for the future of this organization’s HR Department. Once this information was received, we implemented several improvements within the HR function to allow for smoother processes and quicker turnaround time with key functions like recruitment.

RESULTS

Exude continues to work with this client to implement the high priority recommendations while we continue in the Interim role. The information and feedback we have gathered for this client also helped the leadership to gain a better sense of the experience, skills and qualifications needed as they move to bring in a permanent team member for the HR Director role.
