SITUATION:
A large nonprofit organization with a complex structure and stringent reporting requirements needed support in selecting and implementing a Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The organization required a solution that offered strong administrative controls, an intuitive user experience, and seamless integration with its financial and other critical systems.
SOLUTION:
Exude HC conducted a comprehensive review of the organization’s business requirements, reporting needs, and user considerations using our proprietary HRIS Selection Workbook. Based on this analysis, the consultant identified HRIS platforms that met the organization’s core requirements.
To ensure an informed decision, Exude HC coordinated demonstrations with the top three vendors and actively participated in the sessions, asking targeted questions to clarify functionality and suitability. Maintaining a technology‑agnostic approach, Exude HC focused on objectively identifying systems that aligned with the majority of the client’s needs.
After the client selected a preferred vendor, Exude HC supported contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that enabled the organization to allocate resources for a temporary project manager to assist with implementation. Over the course of eight months, Exude HC guided the implementation process by leading a cross‑departmental internal team. These leaders served as change management champions, driving adoption across the organization. The consultant also collaborated with the team to refine and document processes, ensuring the new system captured improved workflows and approval streams.
RESULTS:
The organization successfully implemented its HRIS and continues to expand its use across the enterprise, resulting in measurable improvements to both HR operations and strategic impact. The new system delivers significantly enhanced talent reporting capabilities beyond prior tools, along with improved data integrity and reliability. Automation of core HR processes—such as onboarding, compliance, and benefits enrollment—has increased operational efficiency and reduced manual effort. As a result, HR team members have been freed from administrative tasks and are now able to focus on higher-value, strategic initiatives that support business goals. Through this work, Exude Human Capital has become a trusted advisor to the organization, with the relationship expanding into additional areas of HR strategy and advisory support.
