Employee surveys and focus groups are different methodologies used to collect data on how individuals experience the workplace. Gathering employee feedback provides valuable data that can be used to identify key areas of focus. This allows organizations to create intentional action plans to address areas in need of improvement as well as build on areas of strength.

Exude Human Capital offers multiple ways to gauge employee perceptions. Methodologies for collecting this data may include:
- Comprehensive Survey (up to 35 questions with 5 open-ended options)
- Pulse Survey (up to 10 questions)

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any flexibility in the questions we use for the survey?
We have our bank of survey questions as a starting point and can absolutely tailor them based on the focus of the areas you are exploring. We can also work with you to put together a custom survey. Custom surveys will require additional hours and fees.
What’s the difference between a Pulse Survey and a Comprehensive Survey?
A pulse survey is a quick check-in of 10 questions on where things stand. A comprehensive survey asks detailed and open-ended questions to allow you to gain a range of insights across a broader number of topic areas. Our consultant can help you determine which is best.
What is the deliverable we can expect?
Final deliverables include a report with aggregate responses by question (both quantitative and qualitative) and an executive summary via a PowerPoint presentation delivered to key stakeholders. If focus groups or interviews are conducted, they will be included in the final deliverables.
Is the data collection confidential?
Yes, we don’t include the names of the respondents or interviewees in our findings. However, there are some ways you may want to cut the data (i.e., by department) that can narrow down the results a bit. We always want to keep it as confidential and anonymous as we can, so it encourages the best responses.
How long does the process take?
Typically, this process takes up to 8 weeks, depending on your team’s schedule.
What is the deliverable we can expect?
If we’re conducting a survey, we can share the raw data with you to review, and we’ll put together a report of our analysis and findings to present to you and your team that can be more widely shared. If we’re doing focus groups/interviews, we’ll put together a summarized report of our findings.
Can the data collection be confidential?
Yes, we don’t include the names of the respondents or interviewees in our findings. Will you conduct focus groups/interviews in person or virtually?
Either. We can work with your preference and accommodate you virtually or in person. We may make some recommendations on what could work best, depending on the number of people involved and their locations.
