SITUATION:
A large private university was looking for a universal set of competencies focused on inclusive behaviors reflecting the core values of the school.
SOLUTION:
We facilitated focus groups with representatives of all levels in all departments, as well as the executive cabinet to identify what they wanted to preserve and what they wanted to solve for. From there, we identified eight (8) core competencies defined by inclusive behaviors representing separate expectations for each type of role.
RESULTS:
This project created clarity to behavioral expectations and a measure of accountability for all employees. It laid a foundation for them to rebuild all of their talent management processes on leveraging the competency model as a continuous component of their organizational culture.
